Remembering Miami Independent Film Director Joel Sotolongo

Fellow Miami creative and friend of Joel Sotolongo has lost his battle with cancer. Joel directed two films Work of Art and That Was Piddie Korn. He was actively working on a third film titled Rolling 20s before his death.

Sotolongo was known a staunch advocate for independent guerrilla film-making in Miami and was a wealth of knowledge in the field. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Sotolongo is survived by his wife, Melissa Sotolongo and their son.
