Savage Riposte – Fire & Smoke

The U.S. has a bit of a problem lately. It isn’t releasing enough good rock n’ roll to meet the demands of a music hungry world. For my American music friends I’d like to introduce you to Lyon, France’s Savage Riposte.  This band will tear up your numb ears with a slew of killer distorted bass leads, great vocals, catchy guitars and annihilating drums. They remind me a lot of the Philly’s the A.K.A.s but without all the obnoxiously high-pitched keyboard parts. Simply put, Savage Riposte is a killer band. There you go America. France thanks you for D-Day by reminding us how to fucking rock n’ roll again. Check out their new 10″ Fire & Smoke below. Viva Le Punk Rock!

The Causticles “Eric Gottesman” Review

Rating: At first listen, I didn’t like Eric Gottesman at all. There’s way too much of the same high pitched, monotone yelling and the synth-loops were not doing it for me. I recognized several of the samples from nameless movies I’ve caught in passing, and selected old public safety videos and things of the like. Good […]
